Francois-Charles Barlet 1838 -1909

atypical character of the Belle Epoque
, companion of Papus, but fell into oblivion. Few biographical details available for this energetic and determined character, sentimental, a natural kind and yet very introverted. Cleared, he found a mentor in Papus and pleased to be a "second". According to Victor-Emile Michelet,
"[...] a figure that has remained in the shadows and was happy there."


Who is he?

He was born in Paris October 12, 1838, whose real name Albert Faucheux, nothing is known of his parentage, his youth, his studies. Of his professional life, we know that he was employed at the French Office for the Registry (?), He was a great scholar, bibliophile, an astrologer confirmed. His wife Jeanne Bellchaberts (1844-1914) we ignore and all its progeny (several children).
